Missouri

I didn't mean for this to be the first picture...but this is a picture of my dad's covered wagon...sometimes he will do Dutch oven cooking and set this up, too. He has also taken it to his town's elementary school and done presentations.
This is why Bryce loves going to my parents'. My dad can be pretty rough, but Bryce takes it and goes back for more.
My dad gets up at the crack of dawn and hits the ground running. At the end of the day, he is done. He and Tate bonded as Tate was unhappily recovering from immunization shots he received the day we left.
We love Red Robin and cannot believe our town does not have one!! We always try to stop in when we go to Missouri. The burgers are large, so me and my mom share...and yes, Julie...we agree, their fries are awesome! For those who haven't been there, the fries come in unlimited baskets...uh, Miss Waitress, keep them coming :)
The kids were happier than they appear. And the balloons helped.
Even Tate likes it!
This is Tennille in her anti-social diva phase. She insisted on wrapping herself in a flannel blanket, wandering my parents' house, having my mother make her toast and root beer floats, which of course, her grammy girl complied. Talk about creating a monster.
My mother will have a fit if she sees that I posted this picture....but what are the odds?! She is not that internet savvy :) She had just made drinks for everyone...and I am thinking it was like 10:00 in the morning...
Riley did some baking...if you are wondering about the foil line down the center of the cake...in my family, most people don't like nuts, but my dad does...and my mother being the people-pleaser that she is, there is typically a dividing line so everyone is accommodated.
Lots of games going on, they will play whatever is around...this time it was Rugrats Uno.

looks like a fun trip! I've never heard of Hodak's...but you steered us to that Italian restaurant and the bakery, so we'll have to try Hodaks too. Tate is so stinking cute in that picture by himself!!

We had our first Red Robin this summer in Louisville. The kids always sing the commercial, so it was fun to try it. Cora loved my burger. She is a picky eater but was howling for more! Red Robinnnnnn Yumm. Great now I'm singing it, thanks!
