Christmas morning we woke up early, saw what Santa had brought and hopped in the car for the 6 hour trip to my parents. Tennille made the above picture at school to show what she did over vacation. On the right, she attempted to write house, she made the long road that leads to Missouri, she wrote Grandma at the swings because that is the only person Tennille can sucker into pushing her...no, Grammy is not a swinger or in the sewer as you might be inclined to believe after looking at her spelling!

This picture was just Tate and Grammy, until Tennille saw the camera.

My dad didn't get to come when the baby was born, so he found a few moments in between cooking or farm choring to spend with him.

I love to watch my parents talk to the baby.

Dave conning my nephew, Zack, to feed Tate.

The proverbial "Kids' Table"! My cousin's son, William, is in the front...I think my family is now referring to him as "Alarm Clock" as I am told he was up at 4:00 am on Christmas morning, he tried to get my sister's children to join him but they are past the point of needing to be up early for presents. Zack is by Parker and my niece, Sarah, is next to Riley.
My mom has a tradition of everyone receiving an ornament that represents them for the year...so at Christmas dinner there is a wrapped package at everyone's plate. Due to my father wanting everyone to eat warm food, we have compromised and the unveiling is now saved for after the meal.
My sister and her husband bought my children a Wii system, so the rest of our vacation was spent watching the kids play....very funny to watch my father get into it, in fact he called his crazy neighbor friend over to join in the bowling game.
