Memorial Day

We went to my sister's house for Memorial Day. She lives in a Chicago suburb, which is close enough for us to make a daytrip. My uncle and aunt, along with my cousin and her family were visiting so were able to have a great afternoon catching up with each other. Above, is my pretty niece, Sarah, who Riley complains that Tennille hogs.
Hang out time in the kitchen. My sister (on the left) made dinner for everyone. And I forgot to take a picture of the fabulous goodie bag she made for me from Trader Joe's....a store we do not have, much to my disappointment and longing.
Time to say goodbye. Tennille adores my sister. My cousins, Cindy and Sean, are in the background and Parker working on his nail habit.... (He and Tennille both need that stuff you paint on the fingernails that tastes awful.)
Nothing spells a successful visit like exhausted silence for the car ride home. Parker was even too tired to bug anyone.
And Tennille fell asleep before we left my sister's neighborhood.
