Tate's Blessing

Tate's blessing was Sunday. We were thankful to have our extended family members attend: my parents had come a few days before, Dave's sisters Sandy and Linda, along with Linda's son, Ryan, came the night before, and my sister, with her family, surprised everyone (except me and Dave) by showing up at the church that morning! Above is a picture of all the cousins that were there. We tried to keep Tennille looking presentable for pictures, but she refused and hussled into her jammies as soon as we got home...and there is no persuading Tennille to do anything she is not down with.
Reese wanted to hold Tate by herself...wasn't pleased with her mother's decision to lend a helping hand.
Happy Birthday, Mom! My mom and her family mostly all have red hair and she always wanted a child/grandchild with the same, but never got it. It appears, for now, that Tate is fulfilling her wish. My jealous, green-with-envy brother-in-law made the comment at Christmastime that if Tate keeps the red hair, he could very well be "Grammy's favorite" (which has become Tate's nickname by Bryce)....we sealed the deal by having his blessing on Grammy's birthday....whoo-hoo!! that absolutely makes us the winner!! Grammy's favorite! Grammy's favorite! And in the words of Ricky Bobby, "winners can do whatever they want to".... Eat your heart out, Brian!!
Singing happy birthday to my mom....again, on Tate's special day.
Tate was perfect-a-mundo for his blessing. I was panicked that he would be fussy....but he slept through the whole thing. Here, Grammy is getting him ready to go.
Not sure why I duplicated the pic, but I couldn't remove it.
My sister, Lisa, my mom, and me.
Riley and Tate.
Aunt Sandy and Tate.
Auntie Linda and Tate.
