The Daddy/Daughter dance is completely insane. It is optional and dads can go to Saturday morning practices for a few weeks and do a dance with their daughters. Dave gets sweet-talked into doing it every year. This year, the theme was "Rocking Dads"...so they had to dress accordingly....the girls and dads take turns on the stage and then they meet up and dance together. Above, Mr. Schnebly from 'School of Rock' was making them pay allegiance to the band. (Tennille is in front.) Many nights Tennille begged Riley not to be in the dance because she wanted Dave to herself. She has sharing issues.
My rocking husband and Tennille.
I suppose he can now jump back on his Kawasaki and ride off to his trailer down by the river.
They make me proud. White trash at its best.
Families come up with their own costumes for Daddy/Daughter dance.
Tennille's Ballet 2 class.
They danced to Snow White's "Whistle while you work".
Tennille and one of her best dance buddies...backstage doing a quick-change...they have a tent set up in case your dance is too close to your next one.
Thank goodness my mom comes every year!!!!! She is such a big help...she took my place during some of the rehearsals/recitals so I could stay home and play with Tate...it all becomes way too much stimulation for me. Pictures over the weekend...and then because each show night is different, there is a separate dress rehearsal for each night...so 6:30-10:30, Monday through Saturday (Mon-Wed: rehearsals, Thurs-Sat: recital) by Sunday, you do not want to hear about dance class again....but it must be close to childbirth because they all get re-signed up again in the fall.
